The food here is dire. I've eaten here several times between classes, and it is a disappointment every time. Not only does the food lack taste, but it's also massively overpriced compared to the local market. A five-minute walk off campus has far better options. Apparently, this is made by the catering college, but surely not. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Food is alright but it’s overpriced. I’m not paying 5$ for a tiny croissant! A small bowl of soup is almost 10$. I got the meal one day that was 17$ I think and it was so so terrible. It’s really just a hit or miss, other days it looks spectacular. The fresh wrap and sandwich bar is amazing!! The staff really makes the whole experience they are so kind. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The VIU caf is becoming increasingly expensive and unappealing. You are better off walking up the hill to Starbucks for when you forget to bring food. At least there's usually microwaves in the caf. The pastrys, tea, and coffee are good and reasonably priced. But don't get your hopes up for anything else. Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 2 Atmosphere: 4
