We visited as a party of 11 for a very special birthday celebration. Although this was my first visit, the others had visited before, so I was surprised by the poor service we received. The wait staff who looked after us were very attentive and the service and atmosphere stars are for them. Most of us received food which was tepid at best, a few received food which was cold and when we mentioned it for a dish, it was just reheated and sent back well done which was not what we ordered. When we tried to speak to management to resolve the issue, they were incredibly difficult and didn't appear to have any autonomy from the ownership to make decisions on the ground to improve customer experience and remove dishes from the bill which were not consumed because they were cold. Instead we were asked to speak to the owner by phone, which was followed by a threat to call security if we didn't pay the full bill. This was a very disconcerting situation for me, I have never received service like this in my life. Overall, it seemed that this restaurant cannot manage two large groups at the same time (there was another large party at the same time) and I would recommend you consider carefully if Adega Bedfordview can provide the service level to meet your very special occasions.
