They gave me a card and wanted to exchange it for money. Because the consumer protection law allows me to do this. The envelope with the card was UNOPENED and UNUSED! Even before the manager arrived, the security guard started asking for the receipt for the card (although I said that they gave it to me!) He started waving his hand, saying to get out of here with the words: “No one will change anything for you without a receipt!” They looked at me like I was a beggar who just wants money... although I explained that there is no store near my house and it is not convenient or profitable for me to use it. The senior manager of the store also refused me the exchange procedure: - “No one will change your card. Gift cards cannot be changed! Call wherever you want, ask whoever you want, we are not obliged to accept the card and exchange it for money. You can at least call the RPN!” I asked her if it was possible to talk to someone higher in position than her to resolve this issue. They told me: “No, just me.” They did not respond to my arguments that the cards are now changing everywhere: in the Golden Apple, Ile de Beaute, Vkusville. I didn’t make a fuss, I didn’t scream. But for some reason the security guard of this establishment decided that he had the right to scold me, prove to me that he was right and “accompany” us all the way to the door of the store. It felt like being escorted out of a store. The situation was very unpleasant! I have never, ever written a bad review in my life! I’m not a conflicted person, but this opinion about being right and not wanting to understand the issue and at least somehow help the client amazes me! Oh yes, the card was eventually exchanged for money at the main office, because this can be done legally! The senior manager didn’t even offer to call the store’s customer support and find out if the card could be exchanged! She was absolutely sure that I was wrong! I ask you to have a conversation with the employees who worked the shift on 03/13/24. So that they know their responsibilities and rules of etiquette and behavior with clients! I came to a category + store in the center of Moscow, and not to Aunt Frosa’s market! Such a store must employ qualified workers and know consumer laws!
