The guys at Apperó are just AMAZING. They are the kindest, most helpful people we’ve met (and in Italy the competition on this is very fierce!), and the food and the cocktails breathtaking. We had the mix of “meat”balls (for lack of a better term) as starter, which was heavenly, with some Limoncello Spritz. It turns out their Limoncello is homemade, and the prosecco used is local (and very very close from the restaurant!). Then we had the “puccia” with octopus. BEST. DECISION. EVER. The octopus is slowly cooked for 7 hours with olive oil infused in lemon, served with fresh stracciatella, roasted tomatoes, and some salad. You have to try it. Never tried such a good sandwich our lives. We finished off with their own version of the mojito, which was on pair with the rest: edenflower-infused sugar, lime and lemon mixed together, and soda with grapefruit heavenly. On top of that, you are sitting just in front of lots of trulli. They also gave us a lot of meaningful tips for the rest of our trip.
