I ordered a bubble waffle and specifically asked if I could choose the scoop of ice cream. I was told yes. In the end I just received a scoop of vanilla ice cream and wasn't even asked if I wanted it. It was also one with wild berries, you could count them by hand, about 3-4 pieces of cream and very little and that for just under €9. It happens occasionally that special requests get overlooked during busy moments, as we work quickly and sometimes default to adding vanilla. If you had said something, we would have gladly added an extra scoop for you. Just a few days ago, someone posted a photo on our Google account showing the same waffle with plenty of berries. Was yours different? If so, it was probably just an oversight. Please understand, we’re only human, running a small family business where reviews mean a lot. Ordered coffee. The glass of water that was served had fingerprints and was dirty. We pointed this out to the waitress and asked for more water. Her answer: “It’s not the glass, it’s the water. The glasses are fresh from the dishwasher.” So the glass hasn’t been replaced. Service: 1

This place was The best possible option i could’ve chosen to go out to with my kids. The gelato was the best thing i have tasted in Austria so far. The food could not have been better. I come from the US so its hard to top the scrumptious fluffy waffles they have there, but somehow Alpz gelato & cafe managed to do so. The service was impeccable!!! The second we were done looking at the menu a really kind server came to take our order. She was so kind and great with my children, it was so refreshing to see such a young person so capable. Once we were done ordering it didn’t take long before our gelato and waffles arrived. The atmosphere was perfect for my children. They had such a good time in your cafe and i did too. It was the best place i could’ve chosen to go to for a refreshing ice cream. I thank you so much for the heart warming welcome you gave me to Salzburg.
