This Vietnamese café in Toronto has such a charming vibe, especially if you grab one of the small seats out front—it really feels authentic. The drinks are pretty good too, making it a nice spot to relax and enjoy a little taste of Vietnam in the city. Trendy Vietnamese café with solid desserts and drinks. Stopped in looking for ice cream and coffee, and this felt like a good fit. I’ve been to plenty of modern Vietnamese coffee shops in the U.S., but the drink and dessert selections here felt a bit more playful and unique. What really caught my eye was the durian coffee. I’ve only had durian once back in Cambodia almost a decade ago and hadn’t really sought it out since. So I was genuinely curious how they’d work it into coffee without letting the funk completely take over. We ordered the egg coffee, matcha with fresh coconut water, durian coffee, and coconut ice cream with sticky rice. I’ll be honest, the durian coffee was the best thing I tried here. Instead of using a syrup or heavy cream base, they turned the durian into a light, airy foam that sat cleanly over the coffee. The subtle funk actually rounded out the bitterness and made the drink feel more like a smoothie than a latte. The coconut ice cream with sticky rice was also nicely done. It was served in a coconut shell and came in a generous portion. After the intensity of the durian coffee, it didn’t hit quite as hard as it did on the first few bites, but it was still very much worth ordering. A Must-Try for Real Vietnamese Coffee Lovers! +84 Coffee Shop is an absolute gem! If you're a fan of authentic traditional Vietnamese coffee, this place is a must-visit. I’ve tried egg coffee in Hanoi, and believe me—+84’s original egg coffee is even better. The egg cream is incredibly rich, velvety, and just melts in your mouth. It’s truly next-level. The Banh Mi with fish is something special. Super crispy on the outside, with a flavor explosion from the lemongrass and dill—it’s unique, aromatic, and honestly better than any Banh Mi I had in Vietnam. A perfect balance of crunch and flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and takes you back to the feel of an old, traditional Vietnamese coffee house. It’s like stepping into a little piece of Vietnam’s past. The owner couple is also super friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even warmer. If you're looking for an authentic Vietnamese coffee experience, don’t miss this place.
