Nice place and good quality cuisine, unfortunately located in a dark and quite gloomy area and EMPTY on a Saturday evening then we understood why: bill of €280 for 2 people absolutely unjustified especially for the €30 service charge, in a place without waiters or maître or sommelier, where the restaurant-style owner does everything! For €30 service in other places I had 2 waiters at the table. I advise against those who don't want to be disappointed, but I advise the owner to review his priorities and adapt the prices to what is offered. ps. in case you think that the owner was rude in his response to my review, I advise you to read all the reviews in which he was criticized (he has done worse). This time it is difficult for me to give a score and I will try to describe the evening as best as possible. I really have too little experience in tasting menus because the budget, let's say, is not within everyone's reach. It is the third time that I have tasted kaiseki cuisine, first in Milan and then in Miyajima and I must say that this time it was a haute cuisine dinner rather than a traditional one. You can see the study of the dishes, the combination of flavors and the passion of the people who work there. And I would like to talk about this above all. We went with a little one who just didn't want to calm down. They told us not to worry and that it was normal. However, we preferred to move to a smaller but more private room and we were alone. They didn't cause us any problems. They gave us two samples of sake, one junmai and the other with spectacular plums. Overall, a good and beautiful dinner but above all a great welcome and we, who felt a little uncomfortable due to the little one's complaints, were welcomed without problems and this is a significant plus. Glacier 51 never tasted in my life, a sensational dish. Just one piece of advice, if I may. We ate some fish croquettes, the name of which unfortunately I don't remember at the moment, which had a herb breading that in my opinion was too strong for the fish inside and I couldn't taste the flavor well. I feel like judging it as a place of authentic Japanese cuisine, with a great studio behind it that I think can easily enter the world of the much coveted starred restaurants.
