Nice, clean hotel. My room was small and sparsely furnished and unfortunately very noisy, but the friendly staff made up for it. Unfortunately, I was there at an inconvenient time of year so I wasn't able to explore the surrounding area as the hotel is also remote. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 4

If you don't mind that the rooms aren't decorated in a super modern way, this is definitely the right place for you! Everything was clean, nothing was broken and the location was ideal. With a dog you had plenty of opportunities to go for a walk in the countryside and still get to Hanover city center quickly. The service was also really great! We were greeted and served very attentively and courteously, but not intrusively, for breakfast. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again. There should probably be a modernization. Maybe the rooms won't be as noisy afterwards. That was the only small drawback. Nearby activities: Hanover is right on the doorstep. Whether it's a zoo, museums, a tour of the tower in the new town hall with a panoramic view of the whole of Hanover or a walk along the Maschsee... there are plenty of options. Walkability: There are beautiful walking routes within walking distance that lead past small lakes and through biotopes. Food & drinks: A small but completely sufficient breakfast buffet was available. If desired, you could have had egg dishes. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Kid-friendly, Great value

1970-71 was the time of the natural gas conversion in Hannover. We slept with 8 Dutch people in Hotel Zur Post for about 9 months. It was the time of Aunt Martha, the owner and her son. Always busy, but always good and sufficient food for hard workers. Always a good breakfast too. It was a different time, but I have fond memories of Zur Post. I was googling a bit and came up with this again. They have made good progress and I wish them the best of luck.
