The cake was absolutely delicious moist and not too sweet buttercream icing. We always order our cakes and pastries from Venetos. Almost everyone who attends the occasions love the cakes from Dipolmat to Bon Bon cakes.
See you guys again soon.

The most atrocious and disrespectful experience I have ever had in a bakery. I visited last Saturday to obtain a quote and discuss ideas for a cake. I found it odd many of the cakes the sales girl was showing me required me having to go out and purchase items. For example, they have several cakes with flowers, ribbons, and chocolates to decorate/garnish the cake. She said I would have to go to a florist, craft store, or chocolate shop and provide them. So, basically, they bake a plain cake and stick on what you buy and give them. I have experienced this with home bakers, but never with a storefront bakery. Yet, they charge $70+ for a cake that can be purchased for $20 at the grocery store. So, we picked a design in which they would have to do some work with buttercream and macarons. The bakery has published a 25% off coupon (max discount $25), I showed it to her, and several times she stated it may be used, no problem. I left the bakery with a few ideas to think about and verification the coupon may be applied to the $70 cake I was interested in.
I returned to the bakery today. The same girl was working, we wrote up the cake we had discussed on the weekend; however, this time she said the cake was $85. I mentioned she told me $70 on Saturday and now she said that is for a an 8” 4 layer cake but for $75 it can be 7” 3 layers. I agreed. She asked I pay $35 today and I said no problem. I reminded her of the coupon and she said she is not sure anymore and needs to ask the manager – who was having a personal phone call on her cell phone.
We waited for the so called manager who eventually came out of the kitchen area, with a half worn mask below her nose, who was talking on her personal cell phone. Then randomly she starts talking. I ask if she was talking to me, she said yes, which I was unaware of because she was talking on her phone as well. She looked at the coupon, agreed it was valid, but said she can not accept it as they would not make any money on the cake. We argued back and forth about how they should not publish such a coupon if they are not going to honor it, she had nothing to say about the difference in price between Saturday and today, and then she raised her finger in the air (indicating she wanted me to stop talking).
As she stood in front of me, she started discussing cell phone plans and changes she could make to her current plan. I stood there staring as she casually had this conversation. A long while later she turned her attention back to me – no apology. I then said it is extremely rude and disrespectful to raise a finger in the air and have your customer wait while you discuss personal matters. She said it was not personal. I asked her to explain how discussing a cell phone plan was not personal. She said she just returned from India as her Dad passed away. I said I am sorry to hear that but it has nothing to do with cell phone plans nor it being a non-personal phone call. I thought to myself, should a person who just returned from India be working in a bakery with a half worn mask interacting with the public and preparing baked items being served to the public? The hygiene practices in this bakery are nasty! Complete violation of COVID policies. The bakery itself is dirty with wet floors, a display case that hasn’t been wiped down in probably months, and no regard to sanitizing surfaces customers have touched.
We went back to the cake. She spoke to the girl who said the coupon may be used. Even though she admitted she said it could be used, the manager now says no, so it can not be used. I highlighted their lack of foodsafe practices, rudeness of taking personal calls, lies I have been told by the incompetent staff, and time I have wasted. The manager did not have a reply, just stared at me. I stated I would be documenting the events of today and writing a negative review on various media outlets. The manager, still with her ear to her phone, didn’t seem to care. With that, I left this bakery and will never step foot in there again.
