C'est le moment de déguster un vin délicieux. On vous offrira un café immense. La bonne note de ce restaurant serait impossible sans un personnel beau. Un service rapide est toujours un plaisir. We arrived in Castellamonte at lunchtime and our trusted restaurant to which we were headed warned us that they could not accommodate us due to a family problem. I hurry to look online for a place to eat on the fly and I find this. Nice but very small place, quiet location. I went in to ask if they had room for 2 and if they would accept a small dog. The lady I spoke to agreed almost reluctantly to accept the dog "as long as it doesn't disturb" the other guests... The menu is proposed verbally at the table by the Lady herself. Choice between two first courses and two second courses. I am a vegetarian and everything contains meat. I ask for an alternative and the only possibility seems to be a tomato pasta because it seems that the regular customers all eat meat... A plate of cheese and vegetables would have been fine, so to speak...anyway, I didn't insist. Long story short...2 place settings, 2 first courses (pasta ragù and pasta tomato), 1/4 liter of barbera, 1 liter of natural water = €18. Maybe today we arrived on a "bad" day but the lukewarm service and mediocre food certainly don't make us want to return. Positive note was the barbera, very good but...it's not enough on its own.
