Not your average shoarma shop; don't let the modest façade and inexpensive prices fool you. Restaurant Toros serves beautiful and delicious food from fresh ingredients (I've not seen the kitchen but taste tells me they use good ingredients). Since it's close to my house I've ordered quite a few times and sampled the menu widely. The grill dishes are tasty and big. The shoarma has fantastic spices, which makes me think it's made from scratch by the chef and not the usual factory-made stuff. The salad and bread are always fresh. The frites are consistently perfectly crispy, just the way I prefer them. The sambal is so good and different from what many other places serve. I think it's got bell pepper or such (?) in it as well as chilli pepper, which creates a flavour profile that goes very well with the dishes. The day dishes are a selection of more rustic and traditional Turkish cuisine, which are probably less familiar to most westerners used to döner kebab and shoarma as Turkish food. I heartily recommend to try them out, though. The meat soup (kelle paça çorbasi) is superb; a very rich and spicy broth (I suspect a lot of bones were used to make this) with meat pieces so soft they literally melt in your mouth without chewing. It's a very fatty soup, though, so if that's not your thing then avoid it. As for those who love the best (fatty equals tasty) parts of meat cooked into perfection in a rustic soup, you'll love this soup. Enjoy it with a side of soft Turkish bread and ayran to wash it down with. Overall, Toros offers great food at nice prices, and you get a lot of it. Personally, I eat 2-3 meals out of every order I've made so for me it's more than great value! A bigger person with a bigger stomach probably only gets one meal out of a dish, but it will be a very fulfilling meal. Delivery has always been very fast, too, food arriving well packed and hot. If I had to think of something negative (for the sake of not going overboard with praise and retaining some balance, you know?), the delivery can sometimes be a bit TOO quick. We ordered food for iftar one day during Ramadan and specified a delivery time just before maghrib. The food arrived about a half hour earlier and smelled very, very, VERY tasty. That was a rather long 30 minutes of drooling... :D :D :D
