Gave a lower rating tonight as I’m not usually a critic of usual fare I’ve been used to. Tonight I went in for a couple of halibut and chips orders, that I haven’t gone there for since the summer activities this year but I found everything was very dry, possibly in my opinion reheated orders. Now I could be blamed for not eating it as soon as I got home, but at 1.5 hrs later was barely edible for chewiness as compared to previous orders the problem was food getting soggy if not being consumed instead of being dry as a bone. Food: 2 Service: 4

The Cove Cafe was the only place that was willing to accommodate our large group for Breakfast. We had a hockey tournament this weekend in Lefroy and wanted to have a team brunch. They were extremely friendly and the food was delicious.

My sister and I had lunch today. First time for me at The Cove. My sister had halibut (1 piece) with sweet potato fries and spicy mayo, while I had haddock (1 piece) fries and both also came with tartar sauce and homemade coleslaw. When our meal arrived, I was glad I hadn’t ordered 2 pieces! The portions are generous. We made room for dessert, which did not disappoint. Homemade coconut cream pie with what I believe is more of a shortbread crust for me and my sister had homemade strawberry rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream. All the food was delicious, the service and atmosphere delightful. If you’re looking for good, homemade food, reasonably priced, this is the go to place for sure! We’ll definitely be returning to try other meals.
