Amazing food! Very friendly and welcoming host! We tried the Madras fish curry! Which was literally finger licking good!! Unfortunately the place might be closing soon . I would recommend everyone to visit there at least once and try their amazing food and show some love and support to the owners! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$10–20

Tonight, I had the pleasure of dining at Surahi on Macleod Trail SE. The staff was very warm and welcoming; the service was attentive and friendly but not intrusive. The hostess made everything so special for us all. They really care here...about customers and the quality of their food!
The restaurant was very clean with great ambiance, ample seating area, plenty of parking and in a safe area of Calgary.
The Indian food was absolutely amazing; delicious, authentic with great flavors and tenderness and portions are generous. You can really taste the flavours and spices. Everything was delicious, very well-spiced but not too spicy nor salty. There are some things you’ve just got to try, such as their Prawn Samosas, Mixed Vegetable Platter, Tandoori Prawns, Onion Naan (to die for) and Kheer. You have to have the Lamb Butter Masala, which was over the top, melt-in-the-mouth good with delicate spices expertly chosen to enhance, rather than overpower the quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Without exception, everything was delicious; the food was outstanding, super tasty and reasonably priced. This was easily the most delicious Indian food that I have ever tasted. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!

Worst dining experience(sept.26,2014). The food they serve is not fresh.one of female server is showing attitude when she is serving again.lack of experience.i will not recommend this restaurant to anybody nor i m going there again.overall worst experience at surahi restaurant.
