I just wanted to order a ginger beer, which I did. Then I noticed that the bottle said it contains alcohol. I asked the bartender if it contained alcohol and she confirmed it. I explained that I can't drink alcohol and that ginger beer shouldn't actually contain alcohol. Just because the word “beer” is in the name doesn’t mean it’s an alcoholic drink. I even looked on Wikipedia, which also said that ginger beer is traditionally a non-alcoholic drink. The bartender didn't care and insisted that I have to pay because the bottle was already opened and cannot be taken back. I had no choice but to pay and ended up giving the drink to someone else at the bar. To be honest, it was very annoying. Selling something that contains alcohol when it shouldn't and then getting angry when the customer doesn't want it is unacceptable. What if someone with serious drinking problems didn't notice in time? That could lead to much bigger problems. If I could, I would give this experience 0 stars, not even 1. It was a really bad decision on their part - they lost a customer forever. I also shared this incident with my friends and mentioned the name of the place. All of this could have been avoided if they had just accepted the €3-4 loss and made it clear next time that the drink contained alcohol.
