Simon Sushi is a nice well-rounded sushi restaurant that will let you have your sushi without pulling out the big dollar bills. That being said, there's nothing really fancy or edgy going on and while the sushi may not be the absolute best, the food overall is still quite good and will leave your tummy satisfied.

The menu has a lot of options and actually offers some more uncommon items. I was surprised to find hamachi and salmon kama (grilled yellowfish and salmon collar) on it because those are supposedly often kept by chefs as the best parts of the fish. The salmon kama is a lot like salmon teriyaki but comes with the collarbone in, and y'all know what happens when you cook with the bone... tender, juicy meat! But since it's grilled, you're also bestowed with a bit of crispy skin on the outside. DOUBLE WIN.

In general, the folks who run Simon Sushi seem pretty hospitable and they do really well for their student clientele nearby. I heard that they like to give out free food (like include free edamame with your order) but other than the free oranges/fortune cookies, it doesn't look like they do that anymore. At least, not for sit-ins.

I came here for lunch on a weekday with a friend and it was a great little sushi spot at a convenient location. Service was friendly and quick and the ingredients were fresh. The lunch menu selection is pretty big and the value for it is great.
