Very nicely decorated hotel and very good food and wine (everything local and very well cooked). The service was also very good and friendly. The swimming pools are quite deep so it’s difficult to play with kids and they are both rather cold. On the contrary, the bedrooms on arrival but also all the common areas of the hotel are overheated (easily 23 degrees). For a sustainable hotel where everything is sourced locally, it would be nice to think more largely about the environment. But overall good experience! Service: 4

We would also like to take a moment to explain the temperature you experienced in the rooms and common areas. Our building is constructed with a large amount of wood, which naturally retains heat. As a result, the indoor temperature can sometimes feel warmer, even though we are not actively heating during these periods. In addition, all of the heat we use is sourced from our local biomass heating plant. This is an important part of our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, and we choose this solution because it allows us to avoid fossil fuels entirely. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to carefully monitor and adjust temperatures to ensure the comfort of all guests, while remaining true to our ecological values. We had a reservation at the hotel starting from 16.8 for one week,wich was prepaied.we called three days in a row to add a child in the room and at the reception they were saying always to call next day. Last time we called the disrespect and the shamelles atitude by the lady from the desk was disgracefull,when i asked to speak with somebody from the reservation desk she told me “do you work in weekends?! When i asked how much is the price if we add another child she told me with such a bad atitude “Look on the internet” This was something of incredible. this is nothing like a five star Rote Wand Gourmet Hotel. At no time did we treat you badly on the phone. We would like to clarify our point of view. You called us on Saturday and asked about the reservation, we kindly pointed out to you that our reservation was off on the weekend, as she is a mother and spends time with her child. Then you became aggressive and threatened us with bad reviews on the phone already. We tried to explain to you that the reservation would be back in the office on Monday and would be happy to answer your concerns then, but you didn't understand. We would also like to make it very clear that we treat all our guests with respect, origin, marital status and everything else has nothing to do with that. However, we also have a right to be treated with respect and do not have to put up with every act of disrespect.
