We arrived at the restaurant in Downtown at 7:35 pm to celebrate the Christmas gift exchange (we were 4 people), and ordered some drinks. One of the girls made a comment that in the restaurant they took a long time to serve, but none of the others took importance, however, we decided to order the food when the drinks arrived. We were waiting for almost 1 hour for the appetizer, which we were served almost at 9 pm. My calamari was too salty and they prepared it again apologizing for it. After another 45 minutes the steak arrived. I ordered a New York steak, but my meat was cold and unsalted. When I raised my hand to call a waiter, no one was seeing our table.
After a few minutes later, a waiter approached me and told me that they did not have a microwave to heat but he would take it to the kitchen to warm. I also asked for salt, pepper, and they accepted that and they offered me a spicy mayonnaise as well. I was waiting for another 20 or 25 minutes. After that, my plate arrives with the salt and pepper, apologizing again. My steak was hot but the spicy mayonnaise never got to my table.
I ordered a Margarita, which was fine, so I ordered another one again and my wife ordered a glass of sparcling wine. We waited for another 20 minutes to open a bottle of wine and serve in a glass. My second Margarita looked like water with ice and salt, you didn't feel the lemon taste like in the first one. I was tired of calling them again to apologize again, so we decided to pay and leave.
We left at 10:30 pm, we were for almost 3 hours in the restaurant basically waiting for drinks and meals.
Fortunately, my friends and I had fun conversations to pass the time but honestly, I would think 2 times before coming back to eat in Saltlik downtown for the terrible service received.
