My five companions and I visited this restaurant on September 7, City Day. We booked a table in advance. At 19 o'clock, only 4 tables were occupied in the hall, including ours. What was not clear to us, the bucket of ice and sparkling wine was not standing next to our table, but across the aisle, closer to the other tables. When those tables were occupied, we could place bets on whether our bucket would be touched or not. Didn't hurt. According to the dishes. Tia Mara oysters - excellent. I don’t like creaminess and milkiness in the taste - there was none. Dibba Bay oysters are tasty but small. In Regina Borisovna's photos, Dibba Bay was much larger. Not a single oyster responded to touch. But that’s how all the oysters I’ve eaten over the last 5 years have behaved. Either I don’t know what to look at, or I’ve been eating freshly dead people all this time. Sea urchins. One of the four had a strange taste and suspicious smell of urea. But there were no health consequences. Possibly because he took an antibiotic tablet upon returning home. Salmon ceviche - really great! Crab fists - delicious. I was surprised by the minimal equipment included. Just a knife and fork. No tongs, no thin two-pronged forks, no other spoons or scrapers. As a result, a lot of meat remains unavailable. Octopus with baked sweet potato. Fine. They refused to replace the sweet potato with potatoes. The octopus was not soft, not hard, but somehow wadded and crumbly. Frostbitten? I take octopus whenever possible. It is not difficult to cook well, but you need to know how. An octopus is a good indicator of a cook's skills. In this case, 4 with a minus. The cheapest sparkling wine, a bottle of Brut Cava. Turned out to be much better than expected. Without serious flaws in taste, it went harmoniously with all the dishes I tried. Pleased. My companions ordered Pink Jolies, vegetable salad, beef and salmon carpaccio, pasta with mussels, avocado salad, a duo of eclairs, tartino, and a Margarita cocktail. Everyone liked everything.
