Remezzo Italian Bistro offers a varied dining experience with both hits and misses. The French onion soup showcased beautiful caramelized onions in a flavorful broth, topped with a slice of toasted bread and melted cheese. The sweet and savory combination of onions, the depth of the broth, and the gooey cheese created a comforting and delicious flavor. The delicious fried calamari featured a crispy golden exterior while maintaining tender, succulent squid. Lightly seasoned with a hint of salt and pepper, the dish came with a side of zesty marinara sauce for dipping. Next, we ordered the arancini balls, which had a mixture of spinach and goat cheese inside, resting on top of a bed of garlicky tomato sauce. The arancini had a golden color with a wonderful crunch, while the inside had a creamy blend of spinach and tangy goat cheese. The only disappointment was that the middle of the arancini balls was not hot. The Margherita pizza didn't quite hit the mark. The crust had a pita bread texture, lacking the ideal light and chewy feel. The combination of roma tomatoes, bocconcini cheese, and basil together tasted bland. To conclude the meal on a sweet note, we enjoyed a slice of tiramisu. Layers of espresso-soaked ladyfinger biscuits with a delicious mascarpone cream created a perfect balance of sweetness and richness. Such tiny, tiny bits of meat in the pasta, lots of pasta, good flavour. But c’mon! Surely, the price can cover more more meat/seafood.
