The plants are good, in fair market prices. If you spend enough time, you can find some very good specimens. Getting advice is not easy, not many willing employees around, especially with English language skills. There is also everything you would need for your garden, usually priced about 20% over market price. The coffee shop is not very good. Coffee quality is poor, eiscream selection is tragic, beverage options limited, and the service is mediocre. A pity, it could have been much better. The place is open on Sundays, which is very nice and a breakthrough for Austria :) All in all, the place has great plants, b ut room for improvement in everything else.
We traveled an extra 70km and on a Thursday when there were hardly any customers there to buy trees for our garden. We were told on site that you can't choose these yourself in the field, but that they have to be selected and ordered from a catalog. Our wishes were clearly communicated to the gardener. 1 week later we received (among other things) a flowering cherry which was grafted onto a trunk at a height of approx. 2.5m. This would be the case, we were told, since we had ordered a "standard" trunk and not a shrub. We planted the tree, but it just looks awful so tall. Even if the crown grows larger, at this height it is more suitable for a street avenue and not for a private garden. An email to Praskac requesting an exchange was dismissed with a two-liner. We will now be replacing the tree with a shorter one, albeit one from a more customer-friendly nursery...so please steer clear of buying unseen trees for private gardens! P.S. Our fir tree was also "mutilated" because several tips were simply cut off, presumably for propagation... as a customer, of course, you don't find out something like that beforehand when buying from a catalog in the store...
Beautifully designed rooms and an impressive range of plants and garden accessories, both indoors and in the huge outdoor areas. Worth a visit in every season.
