We had such fun eating there. The antipasti were delicious and varied, the pizza as we love it and the dessert from the in-house ice cream parlor, very tasty! So if you're in Kleve, go here! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

EDIT: given the response of the restaurant owner, this concerns the anti-social and particularly aggressive employee. It is important to mention that I could file a complaint for assault, because we could not pay for the drinks as I was attacked and we were kindly asked, while shouting, to get out. For our safety and the well-being of my daughter, we left as quickly as possible. Moreover, I see similar experiences with you in all previous reviews. It is clear from your response that you have no idea what the contemporary hospitality profession entails, I would advise you to delve deeper into it. HORRIBLE!! Upon entering you are greeted "shouting" by Shrek's sister with blonde hair, or at least, I think that was a greeting in her experience: ESSEN?? My daughter was in the mood for pizza, we weren't very hungry. Decided to share some dishes otherwise it would be too much. Asked for some extra plates, that was not possible because the cook apparently puts the food in the pan with the plate and all? Ah nice, when half of our order was dumped on the table (half forgotten) I walked inside to ask the chef for 2 extra plates. This gentleman was friendly and wanted to provide me with 2 small plates. Unfortunately the blonde Shrek stormed in and started shouting that he wasn't allowed to give that, so I grabbed 2 saucers that I saw in front of me, she stormed over to me and attacked me and grabbed the saucers out of my hands. Startled, I walked outside and she stormed after me and snatched half our order. Of course we ran away. What a special view on hospitality. A little later we had a delicious meal on a terrace 5 meters away with friendly employees, where we were simply given extra plates. And guess what, we spent more there and stayed longer because we had a nice stay. Dear owner of this, in my opinion, good looking restaurant, do you want to generate more returns? Since we adhere to the hygiene regulations applicable in Germany, only our staff is permitted to remove plates, etc. from the preparation area. In order to help yourself to cutlery or crockery, we would have had to set it up as a buffet in accordance with the applicable conditions, but this is not possible for us because we do not offer a buffet. Accordingly, their behavior has proven that they do not necessarily adhere to legal requirements or even simple rules of etiquette. Behave the same way in other restaurants or shops️ Our staff does everything they can every day to ensure that our guests have a pleasant stay, even for those who are unfamiliar with the simplest rules of etiquette. Guests also sometimes have to wait a little longer when it's a little busier - but most guests understand this because they can see with their own eyes how busy it is. However, you are the first to personally attack and insult our staff, something that has never happened before.
