Is it possible to eat in a bar with parrots flying overhead? I have seen all kinds of bars and their styles and cuisines. But when I heard that there is a bar where parrots fly freely above the guests' heads, I didn't believe it. Because we were not talking about a bar somewhere in Asia, or God knows where, but about a bar in Kaunas. So, driven by curiosity, I got to organize a company to visit this bar, because Katinienė strongly refused to go together, reasoning that while she was eating, no one would fly over her head and she would not steal food from the plate. Just don't think that this is exactly what happens in that bar. It's just that Katinienė's imagination runs wild. So, without persuading Katinienė, one day I invited a couple of friends to the bar "Papūgos" for lunch. And indeed, as soon as we stopped by, we saw parrots flying freely around the bar. Of course, there weren't many of them, maybe twenty, but you can understand why the name of the bar "Parrots" was enough for them. You all know very well what kind of eater I am, and how much I can eat in one sitting. But this time, when choosing what to eat with my friends, we limited ourselves to a few dishes. Apparently, not only me, but also my friends were affected by Katinienė's talk about birds flying overhead. So, after taking drinks from the bar and paying for the food, we head to the free table, always looking at the flying parrots. I have to disappoint those who expect to read in this review about parrots stealing food from our plates or worse, dropping a surprise over our heads in return for the food crumbs. Nothing like that happened. It was even strange that they not only did not stop the customers, but even more pretended as if they were not even here. Of the 3 dishes, I was the only one who ordered a grill steak that was not from the menu of the day. After the friends chose the steaks from the daily lunch menu, according to the idea, they had to get them immediately. But the girls who served us served all 3 dishes together. Apparently they spared me so that I wouldn't have to sit and drool while looking at my friends' plates. I will not elaborate on the dishes - the food is delicious, the prices are similar to canteens. If I remember correctly, we paid €27 together with drinks. I summarize. After a short visit, I add this place to the recommended places for lunch in the city of Kaunas. I also want to recommend this place to parents whose children have no appetite. In other words, you can't feed them without games. I think this place will be perfect for such "eaters". Parrots flying overhead will be a great attraction, during which parents will barely have time to cut steaks and feed their offspring.
