Si vous êtes à la recherche d'un restaurant de viande à Cologne, je vous recommande vivement le OX royal. Une ambiance élégante avec une vue fantastique sur le Rhin. Le chateaubriand est exceptionnel ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: €70–80

This is a lovely restaurant, close to the banks of the Rhine, and a little way outside of the main city. The decor is upmarket and the staff smartly dressed. We were shown to a nice table by the window, although it was dark outside at the time. The festive menu had a varied selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes (the latter including prawns, scallops, steak, lamb, cod etc.). We chose the steak tartare and scallops for starters. The quality of the meat in the tartare was very good and was beautifully seasoned. As a personal preference, I would have liked some diced onions on the side. Likewise, the scallops were cooked to perfection and came with a wonderful sauce. For mains, we went for the Chateaubriand. This came out sizzling and on the rarer side of medium, which is exactly how we like it. This was probably the best quality Chateaubriand that we'd ever eaten and was a great choice. The fixed prices are not cheap, but reflect the quality of both the experience and the food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €100+
