molberts saldējums is located downstairs near bastejkalna park. there are indoor tables and it seemed to popular among both locals and tourists. ice cream is 2.60 euros for a single scoop in a cup or standard cone, additional for the homemade waffle cone. they also give quite big scoops which is nice. flavors: // coffee // we liked this flavor the best. it was a strong coffee flavor, which we much prefer over more milky/less strong coffee flavors. it was smooth and not too sweet. // double chocolate // dark chocolate ice cream with crunchy chocolate shavings and brownie chunks. the ice cream itself could have been darker, but i liked the crunchiness of the chocolate and the brownie chunks were very fudgy and chewy. not too sweet. // vanilla ice cream with brownies and salted caramel // this ice cream was less smooth than the other two, but it was still good. the ice cream was salted caramel flavored and had the same fudgy brownie chunks. this ice cream was quite sweet though, a bit too sweet for me. i also sampled cherry with dark chocolate (the cherry flavor was quite weak in my opinion) and the blackcurrant cheesecake (texture was a bit off and flavor wasn't very strong) i would come back for the coffee flavor.
