was really mediocre as well. Milk tea was not particularly good as well. Wouldn’t come again to be honest.
Service was alright. The new waiter in training was slow at taking our order but he got the job done. We ordered the baked Portuguese Chicken first as it takes 20 minutes to make but the Portuguese chicken ended up coming first before the other dishes.
The Portuguese chicken tasted great. Was filled with chicken, sausage, peppers, onions and olives with egg. Downside about it is considering it is a $19 dish that can serve 4, it came with only 1 bowl of rice.
The baked pork chop on rice was delightful. Liked the fact that they used real tomatoes for the sauce, bringing out more natural flavours. Not like your typical HK cafe that uses tomato soup or sauce. The pork chop was fried just right and was tender.
The braised tender ribs in instant noodles was a failure and not even what it sounds like. It was a few chunks of meat in a sour'ish red sauce with instant noodles on the side. Was not impressed.
Also did not enjoy the curry Portuguese sardines in crispy bun. It was quite fishy to my liking. Almost a distinct pungent taste.
Prices are above average compared to your typical HK cafe. Entrees range from $13-$20 and does not come with a drink..unless you order a daily special which is around $14.
They have a promo going on where if you like their facebook or instagram you get 5% off your bill. They also have a deceiving ad at each table stating if you order $50+ then you get a free snack of your choice. That snack comes in a voucher form for your next visit..not an instant redemption.
Parking is limited in the back with tight spots. Be prepared to feed the parking meters.
Overall a hit or miss but would come back for the Portuguese chicken and baked pork chop on rice.
Hong Kong style milk tea tastes legit and deliciously creamy and full of tea flavour. ☕️
