The three of us had dinner at Rheingarten 66 this evening. After we unfortunately discovered that the menu hanging in the display case in front of the restaurant did not match the menu that was given to us, we were very disappointed. It got even better! After we had chosen a starter and a main course from the menu that had been cut together, we were unfortunately constantly asked what we would like to order. Our impression was that the waitresses were very young and inexperienced. My potato soup was missing Mettwurst, which unfortunately wasn't available. It was only when I asked that I was told that €1.50 would be waived. Now the prices aren't exactly low and what's more, even though we were only a total of 5 guests at the beginning, afterwards it was just the three of us, the kitchen and the service left a very poor impression on the few guests, which is actually a shame. It got even better! At my mother-in-law's Cocovine, without any notice, instead of roasted vegetables according to the menu, she was given a mushroom fried sauce, which we didn't add and didn't want because my mother-in-law doesn't like mushrooms. Afterwards, instead of roasted vegetables, which was probably not available, we were given red cabbage. The cocovine was dry and with skin! Unfortunately there were also problems with the wine, because the Blanc Noire we wanted wasn't available either, so we had to avoid it again. Grrr. Now our taker qualities were really exhausted. Considering that the music is too loud, the venue is too bright Tables were too small and the door was permanently open because it probably didn't close automatically, so we asked for the bill. After I had the invoice printed out, I discovered that the €1.50 that was said to be due because the Mettwurst was missing was actually charged. Judge for yourself! We had great hopes and were unfortunately extremely disappointed, which is a real shame.

It's no excuse to blame these mistakes on the ongoing start-up phase of the Rheingarten, but unfortunately some things have to settle in first - which of course doesn't mean that we don't aim to do everything 100% right.
