**1 Star – Disappointing & Unwelcoming Experience for Families** We visited II Terrazzo for the first time during our trip to Victoria, expecting a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, what we encountered was outright disrespect and poor service, especially for a family with a newborn. Despite **confirming in advance with the concierge** that our stroller would be allowed inside, we were forced to wait **nearly an hour in the cold** before being abruptly told by a staff member (a woman, possibly the manager？) that strollers were not permitted due to "narrow aisles." Her solution? **"Can you just take the baby out and hold them during dinner?"** This was unacceptable for several reasons: 1. **False Assurance** – If strollers were truly not allowed, the restaurant should have stated this at the time of booking, not after making us wait outside for an hour. 2. **Zero Accommodation** – No effort was made to provide an alternative (e.g., a more accessible table, stroller storage, or even an apology for the miscommunication). 3. **Complete Lack of Empathy** – Subjecting a newborn and exhausted parents to such conditions is inexcusable in any hospitality setting. In 2025, it’s shocking to find a restaurant with such **antiquated and inconsiderate policies** toward families. We felt discriminated against simply for traveling with an infant. This experience **ruined our first impression of Victoria**, and we will **never return** or recommend this establishment to other parents. A truly disgraceful way to treat guests.
