I visited Gitane pretty last minute and grabbed a seat at the bar for dinner. I was greeted by Sep right away. He was very helpful when I was selecting a wine for the meal and even gave me a few tastings. To start, I got the sourdough with their house made miso smoked almond and sesame butter which was phenomenal! For the main course I really enjoyed their Côte de boeuf. They use a dry-aged Holsteiner ribeye cut which has a unique taste and a low melting point for the fat making the whole steak melt your mouth but still retain that meaty flavor. Sep was also a great conversationalist and I enjoyed talking with him and his passion for what he does. Overall I would highly recommend this place! Made reservation after found this place a in Michelin recommended restaurant. They exceed my expectations! Great service from door step to table tho seating area is small. We had a great dining experience there with recommended wines from the experienced professional serving crew. Interior setting and the dim lighting are our cup of tea. Quality food with nice presentation and tons of wine menu available. My favourite is their homemade miso butter! Definitely back here again next time.
