We have been here in the past several times but no more! The place looks at first sight decent with some free parking and a garden/playground ideal for children. A plus point for this place. However, while not busy, we waited 20 minutes for a simple drink order. The main courses took 35 minutes after our drinks and were not served at the same time but at intervals. While seated next to the kitchen entrance door outside on the backside terrace, we noticed a bunch of youngsters preparing plates in the kitchen but not one chef to be seen! Although they serve steaks, fish etc, we didn’t hear, see or smell one pan that was supposed to fry those dishes from the menu. Instead, we did hear continuously a microwave alarm ringing that whatever was heated up, was ready. Meat dry, salad probably from a bag from the supermarket, sauce was not fresh, plating was absolutely without inspiration and inconsistency noticed compared to same dishes on other tables. All signs that whoever cooks the meals, which I highly doubt based on what we’ve seen when the kitchen door opened, is nothing but a “chef” who lost his passion to prepare food and lacks any form of inspiration to make customers come back. The majority of customers are probably locals with a budget who unfortunately haven’t tried what a proper steak should taste like, or how BBQ ribs should be prepared so they accept the low standards of this venue. When asked, the “chef” was busy tho the look inside the kitchen did not show anyone with a chef’s outfit, let alone any adult behind a stove with frying pans. All youngsters putting food on plates, trying to earn some money aside. Prices are competitive tho but for the portion and quality of the food, a waste of time and money. We know staff who worked here before and informed us that there has been some significant change and several reviews below prove the what we’ve experienced as well, sadly. This place needs a new team, a reliable chef with experience instead of heating microwaves which explains the dry taste of food and kitchen assistants with education and passion for the business which is not the case at this moment. To post the photos of the poor plating and what was happening in the kitchen would make my review even worse so I don’t want to spoil the poor rating even more and give at least some idea of how to improve if the owner is interested at all….
