I do not usually write reviews of places I have stayed, but this time I will make an exception. Very nice hotel. Nice, helpful owner. Despite the fact that you are there for a few minutes and see everyone for the first time in your life, it feels like you have been there before and know everyone. I highly recommend it. Due to a lot of work I did not have the opportunity to take advantage of all the attractions the hotel has to offer, I hope to make up for it during my next stay. The breakfast was good, specially prepared early as I left before 7am. There were many little things that added up to a good atmosphere. Polecam, bardzo mila atmosfera. Long story short Must-stay in Tunis, one of the best guesthouses I've ever visited. Great people, comfy rooms, awesome breakfast and dinner and a beautiful, detail-rich architecture. ----------- Short story long This is one of the harder reviews to write - because I wouldn't know where to start! Dar Souad was honestly amongst the best places where I stayed at in almost 50 countries that I've vistited. Of course the most important thing are the people, and they are fantastic from start to finish! The family that runs Dar Souad is the most lovely and was super helpful, friendly and interesting and made the place feel like home. Of course the slogan "Your Home Away From Home" is often used, but in this case its true! We got real local tips of where to shop or have dinner and we even planned our stay in South Tunisia with Farah. The rooms are all design with a love for detail, were spacious enough, had seperate bathrooms and were cleaned everyday in the morning. We originally planned to stay 3 nights but ended up staying for a week. We slept in two different rooms, which both had a distinctive character and were both really nice. Another highlight was the food! The breakfast included all kinds of Tunesian delicacies such as homemade orange and pommegranate marmelade and our new favourite creme called Bsissa, which of course is also homemade. The dinner, which you can reserve is fantastic and worth the money, as it comes with 3-4 courses and is prepared with love by Raja and her team. We also loved - which in truth was a main reason for us to come - the courtyard where you can have your brekkie underneath the palm and orange trees next to a water feature/pool. I could go on to be honest, but I don't know if people are gonna read this far. Anyways, much love and thanks to you Farah, Feriel, Raja, Willie and everybody else who made this stay so special.
