I go to Lucca every Thursday, for work, from Livorno. A few weeks ago I stopped at Braceria Cicci and the excellent Chef Giuseppe prepared me an enormous tasty steak for which, very satisfied, I promised to return to this very welcoming place to taste the tortelli from Lucca that the aforementioned chef had promised to let me taste. So much so that they were good, I drank these very tasty, beautiful tortelli from Lucca filled with ragù that will fill you up to your heart's content even if you would like another dish. Then I also tasted a platter of delicious Tuscan cured meats and cheeses. Hospitable atmosphere, very quiet in an alley behind the crowded and too touristy Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. But isn't it better to have dinner in a quiet place, even if it's quite central, rather than among the crowds? And I close by mentioning the excellent quality/price ratio and the kind hospitality and helpfulness shown by the friendly table attendants Laura and Daniela. Thanks to all the staff and see you next time for a nice tasty dish of tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, as promised by the excellent Chef Giuseppe.
