Made a reso for 4 on a saturday night, and its a good idea, this place fills up.  Located in a strip mall type area, this place is not easy to spot from the parking lot as it is located in between 2 parking areas, sort of behind other businesses.   Seated promptly by our server, whose knowledge of the menu and wine / beer list was exceptional. To start, i ordered Arancini, stuffed with cheese and peas, was absolutely delicious, the Polpette Meatballs, so juicy and flavourful, and the Pulpo, ie grilled octopus, which was not nearly as nice as the other 2 as it was slightly too rubbery. Octopus can be a nightmare to get tender. For my main I ordered the special, a ravioli stuffed with ricotta and cauliflower and topped with charred baby corn and dill. The charred dill stems were not easy to get down and i moved them aside.  The bitterness of the charred corn on top took away fro m the other flavors a bit as well.  What was in the ravioli was good, what was on top was a bit disappointing.  The other 3 at my table also thought my dish was the weakest. Dessert was pistacio panna cotta, good, but not great. Not quite set, so it was a bot of a pain to scoop. Possibly the first cutlery complaint ever but the knives they use are awful.  Modern, curved design, but put your knife down and it flips onto its back, and if you put it down onto your plate, that means you get food on the top of the handle, right where you put your finger. Service-was excellent 5/5 Food-starters were ecxellent, special wasnt, dessert ok. 4/5 Beer list-small but the options they had were ok. 3.5/5 Value-not huge portions, but not too small.  Not best value, but not the worst 3.5/5 16/20
Beautiful choice of wines. Lovely people will serve your food with all that enthusiasm and hospitality. However, if you are a bit of cuisine connoisseur and fancy Italian food, I would not recommend this place at all. What you see on the picture is nor what you get. First, there were no complimentary authentic Italian appetizers like for example,  olive oil w/balsamic vinegar drizzled with a pitch of garlic for flavour, not fresh-baked Italian bread. Nothing was there while we were waiting, except for the wine We ordered. They had codfish for dinner with fried nuts, herbs drizzled with lemon juice. It made me feel sick. I did not finish my meal. It tasted way too buttery, greasy, with burned tiny rectangle prosciutto pieces. Fish! And Pork?!!! No salt, no pepper were offered. No Italian flavours were added to the fish.  Now imagine oily codfish with greasy prosciutto and burned nuts covered under herbs on your plate for dinner! Try other places better. Thanks!
We were craving REAL Italian on a Saturday night and decided to give Cibo a try.  Not overly impressed.  Limited menu (mostly appetizers to go with their extensive alcohol menu), small portions and quality which does not justify the prices.  I ordered a chamomile tea which was served with water which had not reached a boiling point; or perhaps it sat on a counter too long before arriving at the table.  Three stars for the attentive service we received from Ashley, plus the nice atmosphere, although the receiving (entrance) area is sub-par tiny and lacks a proper hostess.
