Today I wanted to go out to eat with my wife at our local restaurant (Chinese), but we missed the fact that it was closed due to vacation. I checked Google directly and looked for an alternative nearby. We then found what we were looking for in Solingen (only a few kilometers from Haan). After we entered the restaurant (we were there around 12:00 noon), we had a pretty good feeling. Everything looked neat and attractive. The condition gave us free choice of seating and took our order (buffet and water). The drinks were brought to the table after about 5 minutes. And then the disaster started. I'm really trying to describe this in a purely factual way. I couldn't eat the Peking soup properly because it stuck to the spoon. I had the feeling that I was eating a thick, strongly bound sauce. After 2 spoonfuls I gave up and returned the soup. My wife's soup also went back. Then back to the buffet. Most of the bowls were almost empty. (Note: The restaurant had only been open for about 30 minutes and was still very little busy). I couldn't get hold of any noodles because there were only leftovers in the bowl. Didn't look that appetizing. I then stocked up on baked fish and some duck. Here too, both bowls were almost empty. The fish was crispy but only lukewarm. Of the I washed down 3 slices of duck. I didn't manage the third slice. Only FAT. I still went back to the buffet and had it again Took the baked fish because they added some more. A few slices were also added to the bowl with the duck. Everything is very, very economical. Whatever. The fish was still lukewarm. No improvement. I then ate the 3 pieces. My wife kept herself afloat with some salad and dessert. After about 30 minutes we left the restaurant again. Are we snobs? No, not at all. But we want to enjoy a sufficient buffet with good food for decent money. No more and no less. This is where, in our opinion, Mr. Wang failed. Definitely not recommended.
