Chez Max Restaurant may not stand out at first glance—tucked just a stone’s throw from the Promenade des Anglais, it’s a modest little spot that doesn’t draw much attention from passersby. When we arrived, the dining room was relatively quiet, but that only added to the charm of the experience that followed. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted warmly by the staff. Attentive, helpful, and genuinely friendly, they set the tone for a delightful evening. The meal itself was a revelation. We started with the artichoke salad, a simple yet perfectly balanced dish that showcased fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. For the main course, the sea bass stole the show. Cooked to perfection, it was flavorful, tender, and beautifully plated. To round off the evening, we indulged in their tiramisu—a classic done exceptionally well, light and satisfying without being overly sweet. Chez Max proved to be an unassuming gem, delivering exceptional food with a personal touch. For anyone looking for a quiet yet memorable dining experience near the Promenade des Anglais, this restaurant is well worth a visit. Hands down the best meal we had in France and it's not close. The focaccia, seafood pasta, and the octopus were out of this world. The waitress was super friendly; we had a great conversation with her as well as the owner Definitely coming back if ever we find ourselves in Nice again!
