I stopped by Café am Markt while exploring Stralsund and was really pleasantly surprised. The place has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere — cozy inside, with a nice view of the square if you sit by the window. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, not just polite, but actually made me feel welcome. I ordered a hot chocolate, and it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, not too sweet. You can tell they put some care into how they make it. Prices are fair for the location, and I also appreciated that they accept card payments, which isn’t always a given in smaller cafés. All in all, it’s a great little spot to relax, warm up, and enjoy a good drink while watching the world go by on the market square. I’ll definitely come back the next time I’m in Stralsund!
