They had a smaller set menu. Spaghetti carbonara was delightful even though portions are small. The homemade bread they serve is to die for.

We went for Valentine's Day and unfortunately we were very disappointed. We ordered the antipasto plate and the calamari to start. The antipasto was was grocery store cold cuts and the calamari was average at best. For mains we ordered the mushroom "pizza" which was inedible...it was airplane food at best. The Lamb Shank was good but not worth the $28 price.

Scott, I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your meal on Valentine's Day. I can assure you that we don't serve grocery store cold cuts as we are committed to using high-quality ingredients in all of the dishes. As for the pizza, it's disappointing to hear you didn't enjoy it. If there's ever an issue with a dish, just let us know and we're happy to make it right. I hope you'll give us another chance to impress you.

I visited Archeo last night for a Winterlicious dinner with a couple of my friends. We made reservations in advance and we had no issues getting seated early. The restaurant was fairly empty even though it was around 7pm on a weeknight. Tomato and Fennel Soup - This was really nicely flavoured and the croutons were herby and buttery and so good. This is exactly what we needed to warm up after the cold walk in. This was a good sized portion too Eggplant Parmesan - fried discs of eggplant with cheese and tomato sauce, really delicious and great flavour. A nice hearty vegetarian option that's not a salad. It was a bit small tho, it would've been nice if there was a fresh side salad to accompany this dish and cut some of the richness from the fried eggplant. Cherry Clafouti - a small cherry cake/pastry with pastry cream on top and a cherry sauce. If you like cherries this is a nice mild dessert that finished off the meal well. The presentation wasn't great but the taste was good. Quite a bit of tartness as well if you like that Overall this is a cute restaurant but it wasn't anything special to me, it was just another Italian style restaurant.
